The ORIGINAL Knuckles Mini-Series

As a huge fan of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, to say the new movie series has had me excited is an understatement. When the Knuckles the Echidna Paramount Plus mini-series was announced, I knew I wanted to take the opportunity to make a video about the original Knuckles spin-off comic series from the early ‘90s and all of the weirdness that comes along with it.

After re-reading the books for the first time in ages, I started crafting a script that retold the story in a fun and humorous way that would be easy to digest for hardcore fans and newcomers alike. Editing the video was a really fun task. It involved a lot of masking and compositing of different comic panels to tell the story in a visually interesting way.

One of my favorite parts was creating an audiovisual representation of the overly serious chunks of text at the start of each comic issue. I wanted to make it play as chaotic as it is when you read it.
